Mission Statement

Most businesses have a Mission Statement posted on the wall or in the first pages of their Employee handbook.  This statement details the goals that the owner has set and the vision they have for the future.  Some are quite long and detailed, some are short and to the point.  I’m a firm believer in Mission Statements.  They set the path and chart the course to a successful venture.  If followed, a good Mission Statement will become the way of life for all involved.  And that is a good thing.
I’ve played around with a personal Mission Statement.  Have actually written one or two.  These were applicable for that time in my life and held up well.  I’m now in a different phase of my life and it’s time for a new Statement.  I’m going to make this one public so I can be held accountable.  I had some help with this one so thanks to Marc and Angel.  Your wisdom astounds me and never ceases to amaze me.
 Someday soon I will overcome the heartache, and forget the reasons why I cried, and who caused the pain.  I realize that the secret to happiness and freedom is not about control or revenge, but in letting things unfold naturally, and learning from my experiences over the course of time.  After all, what matters most is not the first, but the final chapter of my life, which unveils the details of how well I wrote my story.  So I’m letting go of my anger and fear, setting myself free, and opening my mind and heart to the possibility of new relationships and priceless experiences.  I will live each day joyfully and seek to find the beauty that I know is there.  I will stand strong, accept what I cannot change and vow to always put my best effort into everything I do.
